The Prodigy release new single ‘Nasty’
It’s been six years since The Prodigy have assaulted eardrums the world over. Six long years since Invaders Must Die! and the trio’s industrial, grunge-caked sonic aesthetic. Described as “violent-sounding” by Liam Howlett, the UK-born legends return to form and make due on their promises with the aptly titled “Nasty.” The first single off their forthcoming full length The Day is My Enemy, The Prodigy’s return is as hell-raising as Howlett foreshadowed. Keith Flint’s vocal cues lay a familiar groundwork for the classic rave breaks and electro thrash that have become synonymous with The Prodigy sound. Diehard fans can rest easy knowing that “Nasty” is no bullshit EDM cash in. It’s tried and true electronic music from three of the genre’s most important – and meanest – pioneers.
