RL Grime puts his spin on TNGHT’s ‘Acrylics’
In the past few months, RL Grime has given fans a full LP, an enormous tour with countless stops, a fresh Halloween mix, and plenty of leaked tracks to chat about. One of electronic music’s hardest working artists, the two-faced producer consistently keeps the quality coming with his own edit of TNGHT‘s “Acrylics.” A staple in his live set for quite some time now, the track puts a heavier and more club-tuned mix on the Hudson Mohawke and Lunice classic. As one of only a few tracks officially released under the TNGHT moniker, “Acrylics” holds a special place in many trap fans’ hearts, and the “Core” superstar’s work on the track does nothing but perpetuate the excitement and hype behind the heavy brass sounds so often used by the now-defunct TNGHT. While the world awaits new material from the “waning moon” duo, an RL Grime edit more than renews the jingle of even the heaviest trap.
