Canadian-bred Fool’s Gold recruit, Sleepy Tom, has linked up with gLAdiator to tag team a crisp, aggressive house cut that the trio is calling “Cruise Control.” The track is a funky yet tastefully minimal freeway-cruising selection, and considering gLAdiator’s usual output, their latest is a fresh departure from their comfort zone. Playing upon key elements of Tom’s production style for a creative meshing of sounds, the finished product is a jostling house tune with attitude.

Simple vocal loops drive the build before it breaks into a layering of heavy synths and spastic sample work. Some tracks work best on a packed club’s dance floor, others work best blaring from your car’s speakers. “Cruise Control” lives somewhere in between, as Sleepy Tom and gLAdiator put together a perfect driving tune, available as a free download.
