Tomorrowland announces Sven Väth and Cocoon ‘vinyl-only’ stage

Tomorrowland is making a point to change things up this year. Yesterday, the iconic ID&T festival surprised everyone by unveiling the National Orchestra of Belgium as their first artist. Now, in a similarly deft marketing move, the festival has announced techno legend Sven Väth as their second artist.

The German DJ’s label Cocoon Recordings is set to host a vinyl-only stage on the Saturday of the event, hosting Papa Sven and friends for what will surely be one of the highlights of the weekend. For a festival that usually leads with artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto, David Guetta and the like, it’s a refreshing change of pace.

The announcement could easily serve as a harbinger of more top tier techno talent to come.

Don’t forget to pre-register for the festival now if you’re planning on attending.
