A heavy-set arsenal of four letter originals make up Deniz Koyu‘s discography and after “Ruby,” “Rage,” and “Halo” comes “Lift.” This time landing on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings and calling upon Don Palm, the original brings much of the same aptitude that previous originals from the German stalwart provided. A melodic explosion emerges as the partnership’s focal point, which is surrounded by a rhythmic buildup that utilizes pieces that combine to create a big room masterpiece. Not only representing the producers’ first release of the new year, “Lift” also marks the pair’s inaugural stint on Nicky Romero’s imprint.
