Since its inception in 2009, Free Press Summer Festival continues to celebrate music and art every year in Houston’s scenic Eleanor Tinsley Park. Over the past six years, the festival has grown from a lineup of under 50 artists to one closer to 100. From Jack White and Vampire Weekend, to Calvin Harris, Snoop Dogg and Flaming Lips, Free Press Summer Festival has always remained big on variety and a full sensory, well-rounded festival experience. This year’s lineup, however, features possibly the most eclectic collection of artists that FPSF has ever hosted. While mainstream EDM finds its voice in heavyweights such as Steve Angello and Major Lazer, indie-electronica sensations like Flume and Odesza will also take the stage, along with hip hop artists R. Kelly, G-Eazy and Chance the Rapper. In the realm of alternative and indie rock, Band of Horses, Weezer and St. Vincent will also perform. The festival, which will take place June 6 and 7, announced the following lineup of talent for this year’s event.
