New York City DJ duo Housing Corp. wanted to give their fans a special Valentine’s Day treat, so they touched up one of the sexier songs of the past couple of decades: Montell Jordan‘s “Get It On Tonite.” The track — called “Go Somewhere” — is an intimate house song full of smart percussion, subtle builds and releases, and everything else that the duo’s growing fan base has come to expect from them. Rather than letting Montell Jordan’s vocals run unaltered, Housing Corp. focuses on particularly engaging, memorable snippets. It works out beautifully, and the track is one of their best yet as a result. Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but Housing Corp. and “Go Somewhere” are here to stay.
