Untamed house music is far from a natural mint where the Australian market is concerned, but Human Movement are fast becoming the act to fill that void. Having laid down such fine cuts as “Shake” and “To Be” in the final leg of 2014, the duo returns this month armed with yet more of their gritty club etiquette. Part rasping low-end romp, part subtle vocal house offering, “Paradise” strikes a fine balance between two worlds that seldom successfully work hand-in-hand. Human Movement’s bigger picture still sounds like a work in progress, but the outset of their musical career rings like a door opening for the wider world and their native territory to the true versatility now available to house music in 2015.
