ILoveMakonnen confirms he is working with Diplo and Skrillex
Chances are, since ILoveMakonnen dropped his debut single and it took over the world’s airwaves, your Tuesdays have somehow proven to be a lot more eventful. The “Club Goin’ Up” producer has procured one of last year’s most infectious hits, garnering noteworthy attention from some of the music industry’s most in-demand heavyweights. Topping that list are Skrillex and Diplo who bring their Midas touch to the emerging rapper’s debut full-length record, as confirmed by Mak himself at the Grammy Awards this past week.
Sonny and Wes have been playing out Makonnen’s viral hit all over the world in both their solo sets and together as Jack Ü, so of course dance music’s favorite bromance would eventually link up with the Atlanta-bred R&B crooner. With Skrillex and Diplo at the production helm, you can expect the two taste makers to shake things up in the studio with the up-and-coming star, however Makonnen’s star-studded list of collaborators doesn’t end there. The rapper confirmed that he is also working with Drake, Rihanna, and Snoop Dogg.
