Life of Dillon – Overload (Original Mix)
Newly established management firm/release imprint Disruptor Records, is welcoming a new group to their roster, as Life of Dillon join the team with their debut single, “Overload.” The three-man band, hailing from the UK, are the newest addition to the recently formed Sony Records subsidiary, bringing their fusion of dance-pop and nu-folk sounds to the mix on their first official release. Much aligned with the band’s mantra, their newest material is about a carefree approach to love, life, and adventure.
Similar to the work Avicii and Kygo have molded into main stage material, “Overload” abides by tropical soundscapes, working in sun-drenched, plucky banjo chords and an ultra-catchy sing-along hook. Blending multiple genre influences into one tune, Life of Dillon strike the intersection of acoustic sounds and electronic synth-pop perfectly in their introductory offering. The tune’s melodies float and flutter over an easy, uplifting house beat, as Life of Dillon explore a unique side of the dance music spectrum.
