Kraak & Smaak recently announced the formation of their brand new Boogie Angst imprint, ushering in a new wave of talent scoped by Holland’s masters of the soulful; the nostalgic; and everything in-between. Rotterdam-newcomer Moods is first up to bat for the label, bringing with him the three-track Sincere EP to showcase just how wide the floodgates of this newly formed conglomerate have opened. EP A-side “Hold Tight” ebbs and flows with a sun kissed attitude from start to finish, hitting blissful funk hallmarks on a warm melodic tip whilst keeping things ultimately docile. Setting the tone for another spotless first installment for the Boogie Angst family, there is a sense of timelessness and feel-good allure that says Moods is playing for keeps where left-field electronic music is concerned.
