Few have so consistently tapped into the weird and wonderful sound scope now associated with PANG! The Stockholm duo has rallied remix duties for David Guetta, Steve Angello and Avicii, taking flight courtesy of their quirky take on the European house sound. For their first original offering since last December’s “Widow,” the Swedish outfit continues their ascent of dance world on their own unique terms, joining Be Yourself’s Dirty Soul imprint this month with yet more promising leftfield movement.
“Touch” tips its hat to the popularized hallmarks of modern house music whilst keeping with their melodic and intimate mint, which this time takes shape in a soulful cut that peeks respectfully to the radio market. More refocused the desensitized, there’s a sense that PANG! is ditching their oddball etiquette for a sound that sticks on a wider spread, but “Touch” is yet further evidence to the musical maturity and quality streak that the duo’s material has sworn by since they first entered the industry.
