The Prodigy thickens the album trail with ‘Wild Frontier’
2015 has already been a year of affirmative gestures for UK rave icons The Prodigy. Breaking into the outset of the New Year with confirmation of their next full-length venture The Day Is My Enemy, a 10 date homeland romp and a doublet of tracks from album number six brought a reassuring soundtrack to the vocal distaste towards modern dance music from front man Liam Howlett. In the wake of “Nasty,” a suitably epic Spor remix and the record’s namesake opener, “Wild Frontier” continues the trend of giving fans plenty to chew on ahead of the album’s March 30 release.
Accompanied by a suitably sinister animated music video, there is no child’s play behind The Day Is My Enemy’s third teaser. Still loud, still disgruntled and keeping with the festival-proof demeanor of their musical legacy, all signs point to an album worth the wait from Britain’s most anarchic contribution to electronic music.
