Skrillex and Carl Cox slated to headline Snowbombing’s Arctic Disco
There are few festivals in the world like Austria’s Snowbombing event. The five-day festival is hosted in a village called Mayrhofen, bringing a wide variety of dance music’s most eclectic talents to a snow-capped party destination unlike any other. Snowbombing’s massive lineup features a range of acts, from Gorgon City‘s live set to Fatboy Slim, 2ManyDJs, Jack Beats, Damian Lazarus, and Erol Alkan to name just a few, and the festival promises to deliver quite the experience between April 6th and 11th this year. However the festival’s greatest appeal might be in their one-of-a-kind private parties, bringing some of the lineup’s best acts to some of the most intimate live settings ever.
Tapped to headline the Arctic Disco event, Carl Cox and Skrillex will take to the decks inside an ice-sculpted igloo stationed 6,000 feet above sea-level, in one of the most unique festival venues around. Skrillex’s private set will take place on Monday, April 6th and Carl Cox will follow on Tuesday, April 7th. The Arctic Disco will also host performances by MK and The Wire’s Idris Elba as well.
For the chance to experience a dance music legend and arguably dance music’s biggest name right now inside such an extraordinarily intimate venue, a trip to Austria might soon be in order.
