WayHome Music and Arts Festival to debut this summer; Bassnectar and Kaytranda on the bill
From Canadian promoter Republic Live and the company behind Bonnaroo, WayHome Music and Arts Festival has announced its inaugural lineup. Set to be a three-day destination festival that’s booked for July 24th to 26th at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds near Barrie, Ontario, the festival’s first year will have some stiff competition from Toronto’s already established events. While Sam Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J, Modest Mouse, and Hozier are tasked with headlining the brand new festival, Bassnectar, Kaytranada, Odesza, and Com Truise represent the electronic music contingency this summer.
Bringing along four stages, local and international food, and an on-site farmer’s market among many other non-musical attractions, the festival’s founders see it as the next Bonnaroo or Coachella. Tickets range from $209.99 Canadian to $599.99, with various amenities including private washrooms and private cash bars included in various price models.
