Not too deep into his new year, and Grammy-winning producer Cedric Gervais already has a pair of credible outings on his hands. His freebie of “Revive” aside, the more notable recent record from Gervais came as “Love Again.” While that original had been dished out on the tail end of 2014, it’s finding a groove as the weather warms up and festival season approaches. Radio tailored and woven with lyrics from vocalist Ali Tamposi has all the makings of your spring cleaning soundtrack.

Where it’s excelling today opens the space for new renditions, and that’s where we find new remix opportunities. Taking the original and plastering it tightly onto dancefloors, Eat More Cake is up to work his magic. Injecting club-friendly rhythm and pulling away from the boisterous nature of the original, EMC’s version of “Love Again” suits few of the same venues it had been fit for, but with even more doors opening. Many of which are opening as the path towards afterhours.
