DA Premiere: GTA present an hour-long mix to introduce new EP, ‘Death To Genres Vol. 1’

With fists in the air since they emerged onto the scene, GTA have staunchly held to their mantra, “Death To Genres,” building their brand around the idea of total sonic freedom. The Miami duo is now expanding their motto into a fully fleshed-out EP, packing seven new tunes, aptly titled Death To Genres Vol. 1. Slated to be available on Monday, March 23 via Three Six Zero/ Warner Bros. Records, GTA are breaking down barriers with a slew of new material. In preparation for the EP’s official release, Van Toth and JWLS have compiled an hour long mix, brimming with all of their soon-to-be-released tracks, a grip of other unreleased selections, and a handful of crowd-pleasing hell-raisers. Teasing collaborations with OWSLA‘s Valentino Khan, Wiwek, tour mate TJR, and Paul Wall, their new mix laces together a little bit of everything.

Abiding by the same heavy-handed desire to tear down thematic conventions, “Death To Genres Vol. 1 Mix” reflects exactly what the producer pair aim to do with their upcoming collection. Piecing together four previously released teasers and tying them all together with a new fifth section, the “Hard House” producers have put together a flawless hour long mix that can’t be nailed down to one single sound.
