The Mixfader brings DJing to smartphones and tablets
Innovating DJ software company DJIT has gone beyond the call of its previously advertised mission and has announced the Mixfader, a wireless physical crossfader for use with any smartphone or tablet. With the purpose of pioneering a new age of on-the-go DJing and focused portable practicing sessions, the Mixfader allows the owner to dive deeper into the art of the turntablist workings.
Further details regarding the device itself will arrive closer to the launch time of Fall 2015, but the Mixfader lends high hopes to the idea of lowering the boundary for entry into the DJ world. Fancy and costly gear can be replaced by software and peripheral pieces of hardware that minimize the cost to the consumer, opening the door to a wider audience for access to the manipulation of music.
