Paul Kalkbrenner inks deal with Sony International
With a platinum-selling single and six studio albums to his name, it’s remarkable that Paul Kalkbrenner has yet to work with another label outside of his own in over a decade. His purist mentality towards electronic music has fostered his legendary status amongst the European techno community, and his talents will finally move to Sony Music International for his seventh studio album.
Paul Kalkbrenner has officially inked a long-term deal with the major label; the German artist plans on releasing his new album later this year via Columbia Records. This deal represents a major move by a European dance legend to release an album on a major US label, and will hopefully open doors for other established artists in the techno space to break into the US market.
