Worlds producer and forward-thinking electronic musician, Porter Robinson, earned top honors at this year’s mtvU Woodies. The talented producer took home the trophy for Artist of the Year at the Woodies award ceremony held during SXSW last night. Beating out Charli XCX, Sam Smith, and FKA Twigs, Porter accompanied his win with an unannounced DJ set at the Mad Decent showcase following the show. Check out his acceptance speech above but be warned — Fat Jew presented the award in a pair of assless chaps.

For fans at SXSW, Porter has let us know that he has another surprise up his sleeve for Austin today.
