Zonderling – Telraam (Original Mix)
Spinnin’ Records’ SPRS imprint has done a world of good for the middle ground between house and progressive since its inception back in 2014. Recurring favorites Zonderling came bearing a quirky take on the Dutch circuit with debut single “Pruillip” last August, but ascend further into the global spotlight courtesy of single number three for rising sub-label this month.
Eerie leads pair with functional house grooves to really hit home Zonderling’s quirky sound for “Telraam,” adding an uneasy yet ultimately satisfying original to the Dutch duo’s repertoire for 2015. There’s a sense of discordance and energy that echoes the peak in European big room that didn’t last too far past 2009, but Zonderling have a timeless and captivating take on the sound that lands on fighting form for the festival season ahead.
