Alan Fitzpatrick – For An Endless Night (Jel Ford Remix)
If you didn’t catch Jel Ford’s The Backyard EP back in October then you missed one of Drumcode’s finest releases of 2014. The London-based producer is becoming a frequent face at Beyer’s underground stronghold, marching back into the spotlight this month with a remix for label-staple and fellow UK techno peer Alan Fitzpatrick.
Originally bundled with A-side cut “Skeksis” back in 2012, Ford’s rendition of “For An Endless Night” gives its thudding beats and reverberated leads a firm melodic go-over more than two years since its first serving. It shows that at the core of it, Drumcode is a label that can take this genre in any which direction it pleases, adding a semi-progressive touch to its already promising output for 2015 courtesy of a British talent sounding more comfortable alongside the label with every new record.
