With a slot supporting funk aficionado Kill Paris on his Galaxies Between Us tour, Bee’s Knees may be one of the blogosphere’s better kept secrets. The duo hail from LA and have a serious summer sound with their heterogenous blend of electro-funk and rock. Pulling in two of rap’s more optimistic talents — Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids and Pharrell-collaborator Buddy — new track “Keeper” features rippled guitar licks and agitated bass chords nimbly strung together by the glossy verses of the two rhyme technicians. If this is any indication of the duo’s future trajectory, Bee’s Knees have earned themselves a place on our radar of rising talents.
