Polish production pair Catz ‘n Dogz say they worked on “Rendezvous” and “Nasty” “specifically [with] Club Sweat in mind.” Give their double A-side Rendezvous / Nasty a spin, and you’ll hear why.
On two sweltering cuts aided by Raymoane and Kiddy Smile, respectively, Catz ‘n Dogz tap into tech-house fluency that befits the Club Sweat catalog. A driving tech-house bassline sturdies each of the project’s tracklistings, which use the same elements—vocals, rhythm, and percussion—to elicit different yet complementary sonic effects. “Rendezvous” emerges as a body work-requiring number with an undeniable groove, and “Nasty” a darker but no less hypnotic effort.
