Despite their absence on the Ultra Music Festival lineup, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike could not stay away from the festival’s Main Stage, and joined Steve Aoki during his Saturday set time for a special Three Are Legend guest appearance. Amongst the assortment of big room anthems and the trio’schaotic stage presence, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike snuck in their newest single, “The Hum.”
Pulling inspiration from the beat of Matthew MCConaughey’s chest-pounding scene in The Wolf of Wall Street, the Belgian brother dyad have teamed up with Ummet Ozcan to incorporate and beef up the viral beat into their latest festival anthem. Beginning with the notorious chant beefed up by pounding drum strikes, the three producers make a quick transition into edgy synth bursts that build up into a galvanizing drop that is only meant for the loudest of speakers.
