Dirty South – With You (Regulators Remix)
Late last year, Dirty South released his full length album, With You, in tandem with a short film to accompany the music. The record’s title track, “With You,” carries dreamy melodies and somber vocal work, marking itself as one of the standout tunes on the 12-track release. Dirty South’s pensive, melodic selection is now getting an official remix by Chicago-bred duo Regulators, and although they hold true to the original’s mellow framework, the pair showcase a distinct versatility as they take their remix in a completely new direction.
The Regulators remix of “With You” is a little more textured around the edges, and the pair opt to gate the vocals that carry the original mix, working swelling drum kicks and bold piano key strokes to their rendition. Taking the original track and reworking the concept with a progressive trap-inspired frame, Regulators procure a noteworthy remix of Dirty South’s “With You.”
