While one half of Gaia may have attempted to flex his mainstream muscles on his last studio album, Armin van Buuren’s side-project has stayed true to its trance roots. The pair’s newest single, “In Principio,” builds upon the duo’s latest original mix and continues the up-tempo style first crafted in the early 2000s. At a bone-rattling 135 beats-per-minute, “In Principio” uses synth strikes that build upon their own momentum before launching into stadium-sized assault. While the pair may remain extremely elusive on the live circuit, another original mix sees the duo return to the release front with a track that has already laid waste to venues around the globe.
