Viceroy may be able to live by his “Summertime, All the Time” motto, but some of us have trouble imagining the sun’s warm embrace during frigid winter months. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the weather’s finally taking a turn for the nicer, and with the rise in temperature comes Austen’s first Jet Life remix of the year. This time he takes on one of his favorite throwbacks: Jagged Edge and Nelly‘s classic, “Where the Party At.” The remix’s bassline has a sinister edge, giving the track a somewhat ominous feel that we haven’t often seen in the Jet Life series. But ebullient synths, Chris Clouse’s playful guitar, and Jagged Edge and Nelly’s timeless vocals make the release as sugary and addictive as anything in Viceroy’s catalog.
