Indie dance veterans Kraak & Smaak seemingly have it all. Armed with a discography of high calibre albums, single duties for Spinnin’ Records and a fully-functional live experience, the Leiden trio have given the left-of-field electronic world more than enough quality music to sink its teeth into. Named after their inaugural 2005 album and launched earlier this year, their Boogie Angst imprint kick-started with a killer three-track instalment from MOODS, but it was only a matter of time before the long serving Dutchmen took to the label with their own fine studio form.
UK crooner Keyhole is the icing on the cake for the soulful and nostalgically charged ‘All I Want Is You,’ a track that celebrates the glorious instrumental panache of Kraak & Smaak whilst pointing the ever-expanding indie dance market towards an infectious precedent. Between the disco-esque guitar licks, murky bass leads and Keyhole’s singalong assets, the track sparks enough commercial appeal to keep the masses intrigued whilst staying true to the mint of heartfelt club music with an intuitive touch that we have come to expect from Kraak & Smaak.
