m.O.N.R.O.E. makes Get Physical debut with ‘Moonset’ EP
Known by fans as m.O.N.R.O.E., Miami-based DJ and producer Jordan Postrel quickly became a favorite last year behind the decks at night spots like New York’s Output, Ibiza’s Ushuaia and LA’s Sound. After a brief studio hiatus, he presents his debut on the Berlin based label Get Physical in the form of a two-track EP. Titled Moonset, the EP gives first-time listeners a beautiful feel for m.O.N.R.O.E.’s mastery of percussion and groove. Carried along a bouncing bassline, the title track leans toward a house sound that deserves a peak hour slot in a set. Next up, “Shit Talk” pushes the boundaries a little more with plenty of funk and eerie chords that just beg listeners to get weird on the dance floor.
Moonset is available now on Beatport via Get Physical. m.O.N.R.O.E. will be celebrating the release Saturday, April 25 at Treehouse we’re he’ll be joined by fellow Miami-based artists Michael Gin and Maüre.
