Major Lazer team up with Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley for ‘Powerful’

After previewing new music on their debut cartoon for FXX, Diplo’s Major Lazer has unveiled another track from their forthcoming album Peace is the Mission. Following up “Lean On” and “Night Riders,” the dancehall trio call on EDM’s premiere singer/songwriter, Ellie Goulding for vocal duties alongside Bronx-born reggae star Tarrus Riley who provides a patois edge to “Powerful.” A slow moving and soulful radio-ready single produced by Diplo with the help of the Picard Brothers, Major Lazer’s latest track should see its official release in May — a few weeks before the album drops on June 1st.
