Titled ‘Walk Dance Talk Sing,’ the album takes listeners on a journey through the history of club culture, drawing inspiration from deep house, soul, funk, and a good dose of disco. Off the forthcoming album is fan-favorite “Cruel Mistress,” a smooth, bass-riding house gem that plunges the UK outfit into musical terra incognita and proves they’re more than capable of pulling off new sounds with flying colors. The upbeat track features a delicate, haunting melody and a strong, infectious vocal that bounces along on plucky guitar chords and tambourine claps, creating a retro indie-nu dance vibe perfect for making rose-colored memories on the dance floor.
