Disclosure stay ahead of the curve with ‘Bang That’
Disclosure are tossing fans a treat as they work on the follow-up to 2013’s Settle. Something to hold fans over for the summer months, “Bang That” has appeared in the boys’ DJ sets for a while where it set dancefloors ablaze as one of their hottest club records to date. Don’t expect anything like “Latch” or even “F For You” here, this is a jackin’ house record from start to finish. That wonky bass line they helped pioneered is gone, replaced instead by some serious industrial grit that flirts on the edge of discordance. A cross pollination of everything great about the sounds coming out of the UK at the moment, “Bang That” slams tech, garage, and house together with the added bonus of the Lawrence brothers’ knack for dance innovation.
