Enroll in Paul Oakenfold’s ‘DJ Camp’ this summer
With the approach of summer, it is time to start considering how to spend the next three months of vacation. Some might opt for chilling out. Others have already drained their savings account for festivals like Mysteryland, EDC and Tomorrowland. And then there is the handful of curious souls or aspiring DJs who have an extra $2,500 lying around to put toward their education. Musical education, of course.
The Electronic Music Academy has teamed up with Paul Oakenfold and Paul Reder for a new “DJ Camp:” a five-day session taking place at Ivar Theatre at The Los Angeles Recording School from May 28 to June 1. The program will act as both a cultural and educational experience for students hoping to polish their production and remixing skills, giving them “insider access to DJ and production fundamentals and advanced industry insights.” Any and all topics pertaining to becoming the next household name, including social media, business and marketing strategies, will be touched upon through workshops, in-studio demonstrations, lectures and Q&A sessions with unparalleled leaders in the industry. Electronic Music Academy’s speaker lineup features powerhouses such as Paul Oakenfold, Jason Kadlec (INgroovesFontana and Topspin), Liquid Todd (SiriusXM) and Matt Meyer (AM Only).
Aside from up-close conversations and tutorials, attendees will also be able to enroll in courses and seminars like The Art of the Mix (DJ’ing 101), In-studio Production (Breaking it down), Publishing, Marketing, Social Media, Radio, Agents and Management, and more.
The “DJ Camp” is geared toward adults 18+, but will accept minors accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Click here to learn more and to sign up for Electronic Music Academy.
