There are few tracks covered as often as Chaka Khan’s 1983 hit “Ain’t Nobody.” Felix Jaehn’s modernized rendition of the slow-moving original follows in a long line of esteemed reworks including Jaki Graham’s 1994 chart-topping remake, but its The Rooftop Boys who take the revitalized top line and really breathe new energy into the track. The New York duo’s electro-meets-tropical style pairs bright piano rolls, beachside percussion with an urban edge that compliments Jaehn’s sugary-sweet take on the dance classic.
