Giorgio Moroder and Novation team up on custom synth
Who better to release a custom synthesizer than Giorgio Moroder, the disco maestro often credited with pioneering synth disco and pop? Giorgio used Novation‘s MiniNova at his American DJ debut a couple of years ago, so it comes as no surprise that he’s partnering with Novation for the release of the MoroderNova. The new synth – which of course has many similarities to the MiniNova – will come packed with synth patches built to mimic sounds from some of Moroder’s most influential tracks. Novation will release only 500 MoroderNovas, which will come with Giorgio’s moustache and shades branding and a certificate of authenticity.
Keep an eye on the official MoroderNova site for a release date and pricing and availability info. Giorgio’s Déjà Vu will be released next month.
