Laidback Luke expands Mixmash Records with sub-label Mixmash Deep

Laidback Luke’s international imprint, Mixmash, has built its venerated name with a depth-defying catalog of releases from the likes of Tujamo, Project 46, Blasterjaxx, Henrix, and of course, the man behind the imprint itself. In the past, they have also branched out of their enclosed big room world to release deeper cuts like Chocolate Puma’s “Step Back” and Solidisco’s “Unreal” with Fireflowerz as well as Mixmash’s four-track trap EP back in 2013. Now, for those aboard the deep or future house trains, Laidback Luke is set to launch a new sub-label, Mixmash Deep.

Following similar suit to Spinnin’ Deep and Anjunadeep, Mixmash Deep will showcase hot up and coming talent in the budding scene of more club-centric offerings. In celebration of the launch, Mixmash has uploaded the first taste of the sub-label with the inaugural EP – Mixmash Deep Selection – featuring LEFTI, DBN & Oni Sky, and Tom Enzy.

All three tracks have reminants of future house laced amongst them, but all stand apart with their own distinct flair. LEFTI’s “Castle” puts a disco tinge on a future, club-centric drop, whilst DBN & Oni Sky’s “Luv Light” is a frothy blend of glitch synth progressions and an addictive vocal hook. Tom Enzy’s “Your Perfect” brings us one deeper with its floor-dropping bassline. A strong first release by Luke’s newest venture, the Mixmash Deep Selection EP will be available May 25th.
