Meet your new personal DJ: Aether knows exactly what you want to listen to and when

It’s no secret that within the millennial market, convenience and quickness are key. We expect to get exactly what we want when we want it, without having to tell anyone what or when that is. Enter the Aether Cone, poised to be millennial music lover’s new favorite toy. Labeled a “smart” speaker, it’s more savvy than Pandora and requires less effort than Spotify. You do have to tell it what you want the first few times around, but once it gets the hang of your musical preferences it will actually start to predict the kind of music you want to listen to at any given time of the day. That means if you like waking up to Duke Dumont in the mornings, but prefer turning up to Major Lazer and The Partysquad every Friday night, the Aether Cone will realize this and remember it. Oh, and forget Shazam — if you like what’s playing, ask the Aether Cone and it’ll tell you the song title and artist. Since it launched a year ago, the Cone’s features have expanded to included Bluetooth and multiple speaker output. While it doesn’t yet support popular streaming platforms like Google Music, Pandora and Spotify, it does support AirPlay, Rdio, podcasts and broadcast radio stations. Plus, it’s sleek and subtle Emoji-esque design looks good in any setting.

The Aether Cone costs $399 and can be purchased here.
