Three Amsterdam clubs to be granted 24-hour permits
In Amsterdam, the party never stops. Or at least that will be the case very soon, once Radion, Cruquiusgilde and a third venue tied to the recently-closed club Trouw, receive 24-hour permits already approved by Amsterdam mayor Eberhard van der Laan.
The three aforementioned clubs are expected to join Tolhuistuin and Tower Overhoeks North, increasing the number of Amsterdam’s 24-hour establishments to five. Both Radion and Cruquiusgilde recently opened their doors in 2014 and 2013, respectively, while the third venue – a former school on Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat – has yet to begin operating. According to Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool, the currently-unnamed club will be backed by a handful of people behind Trouw, which shut down in January.
