ZHU announces BBC Radio 1 debut, teases new ID
The infamous, often silhouetted face shrouded beneath a pair of sunglasses and a sleek black suit is most highly recognized as Steven Zhu. ZHU – the mysterious yet awe-inspiring singer and producer behind “Faded,” “Stay Closer” and “Cocaine Model.” Having recently released the latter’s music video, which was captured during New York Fashion Week, ZHU follows up with the news that he will be playing a special ‘After Hours’ mix on BBC Radio 1. On May 15, the up-and-coming act is set to perform his debut set for the famed radio station, spearheaded by none other than Pete Tong.
With ZHU’s debut album well on its way, listeners can expect to hear a gold mine of new music during his ‘After Hours’ mix. Listen for a preview of his latest ID – the same track he featured at the end of the “Cocaine Model” music video.
