This month, the imprint has formally added rising New York tech house staple Brian Cid to its increasingly impressive discography. For his inaugural label installment, the Brooklyn talent treads a fine line between the uplifting and the untamed, perfectly spotlighting the unlikely match of dimensions with the EP’s middle-child, “Pitch Black.” Though the more docile of The Shift EP’s offerings, the track dons a Balearic feel to the modern tech house sound whilst pushing the envelope with an array of delicate melodic developments.
