The Great Wall of China prepares for underground dance music festival

Why rave in Ibiza when you could be dancing on one of The Seven Medieval Wonders of the World? Located in Huang Ya Guan, about an hour and a half outside of Beijing, the YinYang Music Festival takes place on The Great Wall of China. The event returns from June 20-22, showcasing over 50 of the best local DJs and producers in China’s underground electronic scene as well as renowned international acts.

Organized by Shanghai’s Mansion Cultural Center, only 2,000 tickets will be sold in order to properly police and preserve the internationally-recognized historical location. Festival-goers are offered cheap sleeping facilities and camping options, roundtrip ground transportation and, most importantly, 3-day festival tickets for only 300RMB (about $50). Come experience a new culture of underground dance music.
