Kygo and Apple Music form partnership for new streaming service’s debut
Kygo has taken further steps to not only brand himself as a pioneer of tropical house, but also the official face of Apple new streaming service, Apple Music.
Larry Jackson, head of content at Apple Music, comments, “My excitement to work with Kygo on this idea was abundantly clear to anyone who was within five feet of me these past few weeks — I couldn’t stop talking about it. More than being a great DJ and producer, this guy is an impressive musician, and a lot of people are just discovering that.”
Together, the pair will partake in an outdoor promotional campaign, video content and an exclusive remake of Kygo and a-ha’s “Take On Me” – to be available soon for streaming on Apple Music.
Being a part of Apple Music’s launch hits a soft spot in Kygo’s heart, as he admits that streaming was the catalyst for his career. “I’ve really enjoyed working together with Apple to help launch their new streaming service,” he says. “It is really cool to see Apple getting involved.”
