Mike Mago & Rogerseventytwo – Meant To Be (Original Mix)
BMKLTSCH have already offered up a hot-bed of international house talent throughout 2015, but the return of the label’s chief-in-command Mike Mago seldom passes without a bang. Though many of his more recent productions have landed in the form of major label remixes or a recent swell of Spinnin’ singles, his return to the family table alongside Rogerseventytwo marks a prime serving of piano house cut for the modern palate.
Part infectious vocal hooker, part coming-of-age house serving with a bass favoring lean, there’s something both timeless and universally appealing in ‘Meant To Be.’ The Dutch pair’s track record for straight-up house records is matched by a recognition that the genre is no longer limited to the club floor – and the duo does this notion considerable justice. ‘Meant To Be’ is a summer cut to be reckoned with, adding to a wealth of grade A releases from BMKLTSCH and it’s budding roster.
