Pyrotechnics ignite Holi powder burning hundreds at water park/club in Taiwan

Pyrotechnics and colored Holi powder turned an event at a water park in Taipei into a blazing inferno this past weekend. More than 200 people have been injured, 80 seriously, according The Mirror. The explosion happened at Formosa Water Park in the Bali district, leaving some victims with burns to over 40% of their bodies. The accident – captured on camera by a fan in the audience – is absolutely horrifying and shows revelers first being covered in an unidentified powder before pyrotechnics ignite hundreds in a massive ball of flame.
The park was hosting a “Color Day Asia” event. Investigations are currently under way to determine the cause of the blaze.
