Armin van Buuren remixes Game of Thrones

From 2014’s “Ping Pong” to “Hystereo,” Armin van Buuren‘s latest originals have all received substantial remix packages that brought along a handful of talent to reinvent the Dutch superstar’s singles. Now, an unusual original has Armin flexing his remixing muscles, as Ramin Djawadi’s “Game of Thrones Theme” becomes the newest track to be remixed by the Armada boss.

The delicate strings from the opening sequence of the critically-acclaimed drama craft a soulful breakdown for the track, before Armin adjusts the pace and catapults the remix into a daunting trance plateau. Premiered during Ultra Music Festival in 2015, the remix has since gone on to grace two A State of Trance episodes and seems primed for a colossal festival run this summer.
