Seinabo Sey – Younger (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Remix)
Swedish big room outfit Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have remained a welcome melodic alternative to the genre’s heavier hitting players for the past two years, but their output has remained relatively sparing. Off the back of recent Sony Music single “Live Love Die,” the duo don their hands to national songstress Seinabo Sey, reimagining her soulful breakthrough moment within their own creative remits.
As an act who managed to hit such hardball offerings as “Payback” and “Rebel” for Size Records, their take on “Younger” ups the emotive frequencies whilst keeping things on a melodically charged yet tempered level, giving just enough energy to keep the festival crowds at bay with another finely tuned singalong moment. Say what you will about the frequency they release, but Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s latest rekindles our belief that anything the duo touches is more than worth the wait.
