Everyone has dreamed of owning their own island. Sound Channel, the promoter behind Unknown Festival, is making that dream a rave-ready reality. The island Obonjan, off the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, plans to become the “world’s first curated entertainment tourist destination.” Sound Channel and Croatian company Gratiosus are working together on the project that is scheduled for completion by 2016.

Sound Channel’s Dan Blackledge described the company’s future plans to Music Week: “Our vision for the island of Obonjan is to regenerate the island and turn it into a truly unique concept, combining art and music, wellness, sustainable living, amazing food and drink and fun and creative accommodation, all on an idyllic island paradise.” Sounds like a dream come true.
