Watch This: The Carl Cox documentary that will make you love him even more
As if we needed more reasons to love Carl Cox, an hour and a half long documentary has re-surfaced on YouTube detailing the persona behind dance music’s larger than life patriarch. Produced by Hifi Entertainment and directed by Bela Molnar, the film is called Carl Cox 24/7 and follows the house and techno legend as he travels to Ibiza, Miami, Barbados and more.
Along the way, we hear from some of Carl’s illustrious friends, including Fatboy Slim, Moby, Josh Wink, John Digweed and more than a handful of others. As you’d expect from a man of such altruism and enthusiasm, Cox’s compatriots have only the nicest things to say about their gap-toothed hero.
Quite naturally, the video begins with Ibiza, where Carl’s presence at Space has played an integral role in shaping the island’s club culture. The film goes on to document Carl’s birthday, his performance at the 10th anniversary of Ultra Music Festival, his passion for motorbikes, and his family ties in Barbados. All in all, it’s the perfect window into the life of one of dance music’s favorite living legends.
