Dutch newcomer Knight One has been on a hot streak of remixes since dropping his Swords Cry EP back in 2014. Following-up on his more recent take of Blende’s ‘Running,’ UK indie pop outfit The Wombats are the next act to fall under the studio knife of an artist throwing some very fresh sounds into the indie dance sound scope. Treading a notably delicate and retro-favoring path, well-guided strings and stripped beats carry the original’s quirky topline into new and notably catchy territory. It’s another move that has us expecting big things from Knight One and his unique grasp on the left-of-field world of electronic music.
